2005 Spring Thing Panto - Springerella.
We reckon that this was the first ever online forum panto, so if you see
them elsewhere then remember where you saw it first. Thanks so much to Jo
who wrote the script and gave everyone their prompts.
This is posted here so that we don't loose them, 2006 has started and so check out the forum.
Once Upon a Time....

There was a young girl
called Springerella |

Who lived in a land far far away with her wicked Stepmother, The Baroness Hardup |

and the ugly but
strangely cute sisters, Gertrude and Grizelda (oh, the shame) |

Springerella was very unhappy, her
step-mother and her horrid step-sisters were so mean to her, they made
her do all the chores at Hardup Hall because they couldn't afford a
cleaning lady. She was dressed in rags and never had any fine clothes
like Gertrude and Grizelda. Her step-sisters were awful to her and
always calling her names.

She was terribly unhappy
and lonely, her only friend was Buttons "HELLO EVERYBODY" |

Buttons is the valet at Hardup Hall, he was secretly in love with Springerella and didn't know how to tell her, secretly he wanted to ask for her hand in marriage but became shy and embarrassed whenever he thought of it. He had written her many a love letter but never had the nerve to give them to her |

"Buttons, it says in the paper that the King and Queen are looking for a Princess for the Prince and they are having a Ball, up at the castle, tomorrow to celebrate the Prince Charming’s 21st Birthday and all the townsfolk are invited!" |

Of course, you and Springerella will be too busy getting my ball-gown ready for me... |

...and shoes polished for Grizelda and
Gertrude, so you won't be going!

As the Terrible Trio left
for the ball, Springerella thought they looked a dreadful sight, but
couldn’t help feeling sad that she wouldn’t see all the other people,
and maybe get to meet the handsome Prince! |

Buttons tried to cheer Springerella up, he pretended to be one of the sisters lounging on her bed |
